Dog Training
Dog training comes relatively easy to the Corgi.  Because he is alert and intelligent, he can comprehend commands.  However, because he is intelligent, he can become bored with repetition.  Keep his dog training interesting and break it up with different commands.

An example, "walk".  After doing this for a bit he gets bored because it is too easy.  When his attention strays, go to another command such as "come, sit, stay".  I know my little bloke (Rusty) loved the dog association trials at the dog training classes because it was a challenge.

Dog training can be made easier with the use of good products e.g. chokers, dog harnesses.  You can check these out by clicking here or the "training" tab on the left hand side.

Also, house training is easily comprehended by the Corgi, but like everything, requires a bit of patience.  To make the job a little less stressful there are products to assist you....click here.

REMEMBER!!!  Always reward your little mate with treats...click here.

Make a special point every day
of teaching your dog
how to sit and stay
He will share your laughter
and your tears
and always be faithful
through the years....

Never be mean,
don't ever be cruel
He'll always be happy
to play the fool
Remember he loves you
with all of his might
So stoke and caress him
every night

Dog Grooming
The Corgi dog coat requires a good brushing 2 or 3 times a week with an occasional bath.  He will shed twice a year and if indoors, would require additional grooming.  For assistance, click
here or on the "Grooming" tab to see a range of dog brushes and combs, dog shampoo and dog coat conditioners.

Dog Health
The dog health of the Corgi is good overall.  However, he is prone to become overweight which puts a strain on the spine and hip.  Watch the amount of dog food he gets.  Also the type of dog food...click
here.

REMEMBER - A dog cannot open a fridge door!!!
