About Corgidog World

I was born in Sydney, Australia in the 50's. I had a happy, normal childhood except for one thing - my father, brother and other relatives were petrified of dogs. And I mean scared ........!

I remember walking with my father and he saw a dog in the street up ahead - so we went round the block to miss it.

Needless to say, when I was about 12 I brought home a stray - a bitzer, black dog. It was sent away real fast.

Over the years all I wanted was a dog.

When I married I finally got a dog - a chow chow/collie cross. What a magnificent animal. We had Fluffy (very original name) for 17 years and after having to put her to sleep I thought no more dogs. This lasted about 2 months.

I thought I would check out the dog breeds to see which one would best suit our lifestyle and I found the Corgi. Like Fluffy, Rusty had a lovely nature and I do miss him.

The pictures are of Rusty with my mother. My mother wasn't that fond of animals but as you can see she didn't mind Rusty. When these pictures were taken, she was in her eighties and lived in an aged hostel where I would take Rusty for visits. He was loved by all the old folk.

These days I can't have a dog so I guess being in the "dog" business is the next best thing.

This is why I try to offer products and services that will benefit the whole family.
